Maize in the City is Colorado’s favorite rural fall event featuring convenient, fun attractions for the whole family to enjoy. Great prices for pumpkins and super friendly staff. Starting in 2001, Maize in the City features fun fall attractions including a 20-acre corn maze, mini maze and so much more.
Locally grown by the Maize in the City farmer, choose from 15 varieties of pumpkins and gourds. Launch ears of corn 50+ feet across the field with their corn launchers. Also, you can have your little ones ride through the field on the barrel train or take a turn on their obstacle bouncer. All new this year, bounce above the corn stalks on their pumpkin bounce pillow, the largest in the state. Named the “best corn maze” by Denver’s Westword, Maize in the City is located
in Thornton, CO, just ten miles north of Denver. The maze takes approximately 40 minutes to complete and is fun for all ages. There are three ways to navigate your way through the 20-acre Crazed Cornfield Maze. Find your way with the help of our customizable smartphone trivia game, QR checkpoint hunt, or traditional punch card game. To get directions to the next checkpoint, you’ll need to choose a category and answer a question correctly.
By day, the Maize in the City offers all kinds of family-friendly fall fun, including a mini maze, a pumpkin field, hayrides, pony rides, a petting zoo, a jumping castle, an air slide, and more. Let the little ones take the lead as they make their way through the Mini Maze, a maze cut into a shorter corn stalk field. The Mini Maze is perfect for young children. With paper checkpoints, children will collect hole punches as they navigate through the maze. Beyond their corn maze, visitors can pick their pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, let the kids play on the playground, and plop down in the corn kernel box, all for free but all other activities require a fee. You can even launch a husk of corn 50+ feet in the air with their all-new corn launcher. And don’t worry about the kids getting lost: parents and grandparents get to tag along for free.
At the Dead Man’s Night Maze, a revived version of the original corn maze haunt takes visitors through a series of twisted turns, never-ending paths, and dead ends. By the time you realize you’re completely lost, it’s too late because the zombies and monsters are already on your trail. For those looking for a more interactive haunted experience, the Zombie Paintball Massacre takes guests on a moonlight hayride that quickly turns into a zombie invasion. Visitors will have to think fast and use high-powered paintball guns to fight off zombies and save the group from being eaten alive.
