The unincorporated community of Woodmoor is in El Paso County, Colorado, and is a census-designated place (CDP). CDP is a part of Colorado Springs, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The center of Woodmoor is about 1.5 miles due east of the center of Monument, Colorado. In total, the CDP has an area of 3,900 acres (15.781 km2), including 40 acres (0.161 km2) of water.
Woodmoor sits north of Monument and Gleneagle, to the west is Palmer Lake, and about 9 miles to the north is Larkspur. Interstate 25 forms a natural boundary to the west while Colorado State Highway 105 bisects the community north-south. Furror Road forms a natural border to the east East Palmer Divide Avenue to the north and Higby Road to the south. From Furrow Drive, Woodmoor Drive curves south as it heads to the west, passing Woodmoor Lake and ending on Colorado State Highway 105.

Several places of worship exist in the area including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Trinity Lutheran Church, The Ascent Church and St Matthias Episcopal Church.
