Sheridan Arapahoe County

The City of Sheridan is a home rule municipality located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. Sheridan is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. It has a total area of 2.3 square miles (5.9 km2), of which 2.2 square miles (5.7 km2) are land and 0.077 square miles (0.2 km2), or 2.91%, are water. South Platte River flows into the city and runs north and south.

Sheridan is located at the interchange of U.S. Route 285 and U.S. Route 85. The city is bordered by Lakewood to the north, Englewood to the east, Bow Mar to the west and Littleton to the south. U.S. Route 285 passes through the city and runs north and south. CanAm Highway forms a border to the east. Federal Boulevard passes through Sheridan and runs north and south and crosses over an interchange with US 285.

US 85 serves as a commercial strip in Sheridan. Businesses along US 85 include Golden Corral Buffet &Grill, HuHot Mongolian Grill, Phở 4 U, Target, Dead Hippie Brewing, PetSmart, Burlington, Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Costco Wholesale, Metro Express Car Wash, Chick-fil-A, Ferguson Plumbing Supply, Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, and Springs Automotive Group Denver. Sheridan is home to River Run Park.

The Sheridan School District operates area public schools. Schools within the city include Alice Terry Elementary School and Sheridan High School. Nearby is the Sheridan Recreation Center.
