Northglenn is a home rule municipality located in Adams and Weld counties in Colorado, United States. The Northglenn-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area includes Northglenn. The total area of the city is 7.5 square miles (19.4 km2), of which 7.4 square miles (19.2 km2) is land and 0.077 square miles (0.2 km2), or 1.23%, is water.
Northglenn is 2 miles north of the city of Thornton. Major highways in Northglenn include Interstate 25 and CO-44. Within the city are the interchanges of I-25 with 120th Avenue to the north and I-25 with CO-44 to the south. Washington Street passes straight through the middle of the city and runs north and south. 112th Avenue heads straight to the east outside of the city.
Northglenn is home to Boondocks Food & Fun: Northglenn located on Community Center Drive. The city is teeming with parks, recreational areas and open spaces including E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, Northglenn Recreation Center, North Park, Central Park, Elanor M. Wyatt Centennial Park, Northwest Open Space and Danahy Park. Shopping areas include King Soopers, Save A Lot, and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
Northglenn is directly connected to Downtown Denver via the Regional Transportation District N Line at the Northglenn/112th station.
