Montclair Denver

Montclair is a neighborhood in the City and County of Denver, Colorado, United States. This small community was originally developed east of downtown Denver. The neighborhood is bound by Colfax Ave to the north, 6th Ave to the south, Holly Street to the west, and Quebec to the east. U.S. Route 40 passes through the community to the north and serves as the main street. Monaco Parkway runs north and south and passes through the middle of Montclair crossing over US 40 and 8th Avenue.

East Montclair is located east of Quebec, north of 11th Avenue, south of Colfax, and west of Yosemite. Montclair Post Office is located in East Montclair, which is bordered to the south by Lowry and to the east by Aurora. South Park Hill lies to the north, East Colfax lies to the east, East lies to the south, and Congress Park lies to the west.

Montclair is home to four city parks including Montclair Park, located at Richthofen Place Parkway and Oneida St; Mayfair Park, located at 10th and Jersey St; Kittredge Park, located at 9th Ave and Olive St; and Denison Park, located at Richthofen Pl and Quebec St. Montclair is home to Montclair Elementary School in the 1151 Newport St and Palmer Elementary School at 955 Grape St. Montclair Elementary is a Denver Public School serving grades K-5. Montclair has seen a rebound in neighborhood attendance since 2005. Both St. James Catholic School (preschool – 8) and Paddington Station (preschool) are located in the Montclair neighborhood.

Shopping areas in Montclair include Safeway, Denver True Value Hardware, Ace on The Fax, Walgreens, City Floral Garden Center, Angelyne’s Boutique, and Mountain Century Modern. Green spaces in the community include Mayfair Park, Montclair Park, Kittredge Park, and Denison Park.
