Kittredge is an unincorporated town, a post office, and a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Colorado. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Kittredge CDP consists of 1,206 acres (4.881 km2), including 0.30 acres (0.0012 km2) of water.
Kittredge is located in the valley of Bear Creek. Colorado State Highway 74 leads east down Bear Creek Canyon 8 miles (13 km) to Morrison and southwest (upstream) 2 miles (3 km) to Evergreen. The CDP is bordered by Evergreen to the west and south, Genesee to the northeast, and Idledale to the east.
State Highway 74 is the only major highway serving Kittredge running west and east along Bear Creek. State Highway 74 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Colorado. Running 18 miles from Interstate 70 in El Rancho to SH 8 in Morrison, the highway roughly follows a hook-shaped path running northwest–southeast. Kerr Gulch Road forms a natural border to the northeast. Myers Gulch Road emerges south from Black Creek Road and leads to Indian Hills approximately 5 miles south.
Kittredge is primarily a residential area with State Highway serving as the main street. Establishments along the main street include Country Road Cafe, Piney Wine & Spirits, Black Hat Cattle Co, Switchback Smokehouse, Canyon Tack & Feed, Kittredge Mercantile and Kittredge Auto Rebuilders.
Kittredge is served by the Jefferson County Public Schools.
