Ken Caryl, commonly known as Ken Caryl Ranch, is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Ken Caryl CDP has an area of 6,313 acres (25.546 km2), including 20 acres (0.079 km2) of water.

 

Ken Caryl is located at the interchange of Colorado State Highway 470 and Colorado State Highway 121. Major roads serving the community are SH 470, SH 121, and SH 124. Wadsworth Boulevard runs north and south and forms a natural border to the east. SH 470 emerges from the southeast and leads to the northwest and ends at the U.S. Route 285 interchange. The community is bordered by Columbine immediately to the east, and Chatfield Reservoir to the southeast. Ken Caryl Avenue serves as the main street.

 

Ken Caryl is served by the Jefferson County Public Schools. Elementary schools include Bradford K8, Colorow, Coronado, Mortenson, Schaffer, Stony Creek, and Ute Meadows. Middle schools include Deer Creek, Falcon Bluffs, and Summit Ridge. Chatfield High School and Dakota Ridge High School.

 

Lockheed Martin and its predecessor, Martin Marietta, operate a facility located in the southern part of Ken Caryl Valley. It is home to Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park. Meadows Golf Club, Ken Caryl Sledding Hill, Ken Caryl Ranch House Park, Ken Caryl Ranch Community Park, Willow Creek Park, and Ken Caryl Disc Golf Course are a few of the parks and green spaces within the community.
