Globeville is a neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. It is located in the area traditionally known as North Denver. Globeville is located in north Denver, bounded by the South Platte River on the east and south, Inca Street on the west, and the City limits (mostly 52nd Avenue) on the north. The neighborhood is bisected vertically and horizontally by Interstates 25 and 70.

 

South Platte River borders the residential and industrial Globeville, which has a popular biking and walking trail. Argo Park has a swimming pool and grassy fields, while the nearby Holy Transfiguration of Christ Orthodox Cathedral has traditional painted icons. There is a major freeway interchange in the neighborhood, as well as Mexican restaurants and chain eateries.

 

In the Denver area, Globeville is home to a number of iconic structures and landmarks. In this neighborhood, Interstate 25 intersects with Interstate 70 at the Mousetrap, a large freeway interchange. In the neighborhood is Saint Joseph’s Polish Roman Catholic Church, located at 517 East 46th Avenue. Also, the South Platte River serves as the neighborhood’s eastern boundary. On the east bank of the river, on the other side of the neighborhood, is Globeville Landing Park. Along the west bank of the South Platte River, the Colorado Front Range Trail runs through Globeville, mainly used as a bike path. Argo park is another notable landmark in Globeville and a favorite among children. The park is located in the heart of Globeville.
