The City of Federal Heights is a home rule municipality located in western Adams County, Colorado, United States. Federal Heights is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. The town had a total area of 1,138 acres (4.604 km2) of land including 1.2 acres (0.005 km2) of water.
Federal Heights straddles U.S. Route 287. All concurrent roads within the city include 104th Avenue, 100th Avenue, 96th Avenue, and 92nd Avenue. Pecos Street runs north and south and forms a natural border to the east whilst 84th Avenue runs east and west to the south.
Federal Heights is the home of a major family water park named Water World located at Pecos Street. Nearby is the Christmas In Color at Water World. The city has several shopping areas including Hilltop Gardens, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree. It also has parks and green spaces such as Ruston Park, and Camenisch Park. Recreational area and sports complex including Hyland Hills Sports Complex, Hyland Hills Park and Recreation, Badlands Disc Golf Course and Federal Heights Skatepark.
