Columbine Jefferson County

Columbine is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Jefferson and Arapahoe counties, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located primarily in Jefferson County, Columbine lies immediately south of Denver. Columbine CDP covers an area of 4,322 acres (17.491 km2), including 79 acres of water.

The city of Columbine is located in Jefferson County, with a small portion of it extending into Arapahoe County. Littleton and Columbine Valley border the east of Columbine, and Ken Caryl borders the west. The city limits of Denver are 0.3 miles (0.48 km) north of the northern border of Columbine, and to the south, the community extends as far as the Chatfield Reservoir.

Major roads in Columbine include Wadsworth Boulevard and Colorado State Highway 75. Wadsworth Boulevard forms a border to the west while Colorado State Highway 75 to the east. Colorado State Highway 470 passes to the south and has an interchange that defines the community’s southern edge.

Neighborhoods within Columbine include Millbrook, Columbine Knolls, Columbine Townhomes, Columbine West, Dutch Creek Village, Terrace At Columbine, Leawood and Columbine Heights.

Johnson Reservoir Damn occupies the northwestern area of the Columbine. Columbine has several shopping areas including King Soopers, Super Liquor Mart, Goodwill Coal Mine Store, Creek Side Gardens, AutoZone Auto Parts and Firestone Complete Auto Care.
