The unincorporated community of Black Forest is a census-designated place (CDP) in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. Located in the CO Springs Metropolitan Statistical Area, Colorado Springs is a part of the CDP. This CDP has a total area of 64,447 acres (260.807 km2), including 37 acres (0.150 km2) of water.
Black Forest is sandwiched between Gleneagle to the west and Eastonville to the east. To the south, it borders the neighborhood of Northgate, Briargate, and Falcon towards the southeast.
Black Forest is home to a few popular wedding venues including The Lodge at Cathedral Pines at 13977 Milam Rd, Black Forest Meadows at 17104 Goshawk Rd E, Younger Ranch located at the Intersection of Walker Rd and Black Forest Rd, and White Cottage Guest Farm at 16910 Thompson Rd. Despite the vast areas covered with pines, the community has also two parks namely Black Forest Regional Park and The Pineries Open Space which are 4 blocks apart from each other. There is a golf course in the community called Flying Horse North Golf Course on 15268 Allen Ranch Rd, 1.6km north of Cathedral Pines Trailhead.
Places of education serving the community are School In the Woods off Vollmer Road, Edith Wolford Elementary off south of Black Forest Road, First Step Preschool off Shoup Road, Ray E Kilmer Elementary School off Walker Road and about 2 km further west is Monument Academy Middle School – East Campus.
Colorado State Highway 83 forms a natural border to the east and is the main access point into the Black Forest.
