Berkley is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Adams County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Berkley CDP has an area of 2,617 acres (10.590 km2), including 313 acres (1.267 km2) of water.
Berkley is bordered by Westminster to the northwest, Sherrelwood and Twin Lakes to the northeast, North Washington to the east, and Denver to the south.
Interstate 75 passes through the community in southwest and northeast directions, leading northeast to an interchange with I-25, leading southwest to the interchange of I-70 with Arvada. US 287 passes through Berkley in north and south directions leading to an interchange with US 36 to the north and intersecting with I-70 to the south. Clear Creek passes through the mainly commercial area in southwest and northeast directions along I-75. Federal Boulevard is Berkley’s main street running parallel with Lowell Boulevard.
Berkley is teeming with ponds and lakes including Clear Creek, Jim Baker Reservoir, Lake Sangraco, Kershaw Ditch and Little Dry Creek. Other parks and open spaces include Lowell Ponds State Wildlife Area, Clear Creek Valley Parking, Clear Creek Valley Park, Hidden Lake Park, and Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District.
Berkley is directly linked to downtown Denver via Clear Creek – Federal Station.
