Colorado (/ˌkɒləˈrædoʊ, -ˈrɑːdoʊ/) is a state in the subregion of the Western USA, specifically located in the Mountain West region. It makes up most of the Southern Rocky Mountains, the Colorado Plateau’s northeastern portion. And the Great Plains western section.
To the north, Colorado is bordered by Wyoming. In the northeast, Nebraska. In the southeast with Oklahoma. To its south is New Mexico and in the West is Utah. Finally Arizona in the southwest the Four Corners. Latitude and longitude boundaries stretch from 37°N to 41°N latitude, and from 102°02′48″W to 109°02′48″W longitude (25°W to 32°W from the Washington Meridian). Colorado has a length of 380 mi (610 km) and a width of 280 mi (450 km). Colorado covers a total of 104,094 sq mi (269,837 km2). Landmass comining at 103,718 sq mi (268,875 km2) and water coming in at 376 sq mi (962 km2) or 0.36% of the state.
