The City of Dacono is a home rule municipality located in southwestern Weld County, Colorado, United States. Dacono is a part of the Greeley, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. Including 4 acres (0.016 km2) of water, the town has a total area of 5,630 acres (22.782 km2).
Dacono is bordered by Puritan to the west, Frederick and Firestone to the north, Fort Lupton to the east and Wattenberg to the southeast. It straddles Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway or Interstate 25 (I-25). US 52 east off the interchange of I-25 leads eastward and forms a natural border to the north. York Street and Colorado Boulevard is the main road through Dacono and runs north and south parallel to each other. 12 Road becomes Grandview Boulevard between York Street and Colorado Boulevard.
Dacono is home to the Colorado National Speedway. Other recreational spots include IMI Motorsports Complex located south and Dacono BMX north of Colorado Boulevard nearby Clem Dufour Park. Other parks and green spaces within Dacono include David H. Osborne Park, and Dacono Memorial. Shopping areas within the city include Eshs Discount Groceries, Elliott’s Complete Auto Sales and Interstate Ford Parts.
