Twin Lakes Adams County

Twin Lakes is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place located in and governed by Adams County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Twin Lakes CDP has an area of 4,311 acres (17.444 km2). Clear Creek runs along with the community to the south.

Twin Lakes borders Sherrelwood to the north, Welby to the northeast, Commerce City to the east, Westminster to the northwest and Berkley to the west. The community is surrounded by major highways: US 36 to the north, I-76 to the south, I-25 to the east, and US 287 to the west. Pecos Street crosses over I-25 heading southward passing 72nd Avenue, 70th Avenue and 68th Avenue. 70th Avenue emerges westward from the interchange of I-25 and US 224 and becomes Samuel Drive turning north.

Twin Lake’s commercial strip is on Pecos Street with mostly food establishments such as Birrieria Y Taqeria Los Tecos, Yorkshire Fish & Chips, Taco Bell, Tacos El Gordo, Taqueria Los Gallitos, Tacos Y Mariscos Sinalous, and Bruz Beers. Running parallel to Pecos Street is Broadway to the west with more businesses including Mickey’s Top Sirloin, Fred’s Breakfast Burrito, Etai’s Bakery Cafe, and the Mountain States Toyota. It is also home to a few parks including Midtown Home Plate Park, Midtown Dog Park, and Twin Lakes Park.

Colorado Sports Leadership Academy is one of the few places for education in Twin Lakes.
